Pet Fest

And we need a LOT of help!


We are so excited to announce that we are expanding our 5k walk/run to include a full fledged pet festival!

We are in the pre-planning stages of creating Racine’s first ever pet festival in the city of Racine. And we want your help! It will run alongside our annual Root River 5k run/walk and include a plethora family fun activities.

First, we need a name for this community event. We are bringing this festival to an area that doesn’t have festivals brought to them. But it is for everyone in Racine County, and even surrounding communities. We want it to be about you and your dogs. And the first order of business is to name the event!

We are having a competition to name the festival! We want you to tell us what you think it should be named! Put on your thinking cap. Multiple entries are allowed, and even duplicates. There will be a few phases for this competition.

Phase One: Open submissions. Submit your desired names to be considered for the festival. The deadline for submissions is 11:59PM of Nov 30th of 2021. FINISHED

Phase Two: Our volunteer team will vote for the top submissions chosen by the Board. We will then put the top submissions, decided by the volunteer team’s voting, on our Facebook page to be voted on by you!

Phase Three: Public poll for winning name. You (the public) will vote on our public poll, on our Facebook page, for your favorite name! Polling will end at 11:59PM of December 19th.

Phase Four: Announcing the winner! We will announce the winning festival name and the submission winner on our Facebook page and website at 7PM on December 26th of 2021!

The person who submits the winning name will win a custom t-shirt with the winning name and logo for the festival, bragging rights and a $25 Visa gift card!

Duplications: If there are duplicate festival name submissions, all who’ve submitted the winning festival name will be put into a drawing for the t-shirt and Visa gift card prize. All others who’ve submitted the winning name will also receive a bragging rights gift.

Second, we are in need of a committee to work with our event organizer,, to see to all the details this will entail! This is a huge undertaking. But we know there are people who love to be able to help bring this to the community and make it a huge success. So, let us know what skills you can bring to the table to make this an amazing event for Billy’s Posse, Inc and the community!

Third, we will be looking for vendors and sponsors of all sorts! We want family fun for all. Food, crafts, rescues, microchip clinic, groomer, blow up slide, K9 demonstrations, law enforcement K9s, music, children’s activities, and more.
